چکیده

B̄ → Dπ, Dπ, J/ψK̄ and J/ψπ decays are studied by decomposing their amplitude into a sum of factorizable and non-factorizable ones. The former is estimated by using the naive factorization while the latter is calculated by using a hard pion approximation in the infinite momentum frame. Although experiments provide only upper bounds of the branching ratios for the color suppressed B̄0 → D0π0 and D∗0π0 decays, consistency among the branching ratios for the B̄ → Dπ and Dπ decays including the charged modes leads to phenomenologically allowed lower limits of B(B̄0 → D0π0) and B(B̄0 → D∗0π0). Our result is compared with the phenomenologically estimated branching ratios as well as the measured ones. As the consequence, it is seen that the non-factorizable amplitude is rather small in the color favored B̄ → Dπ and Dπ decays but can still efficiently interfere with the main (factorized) amplitude. In the color suppressed B̄ → J/ψK̄ and J/ψπ decays, non-factorizable contribution is more important. A sum of the factorized and non-factorizable amplitudes can improve the result from the factorization, although it is sensitive to model dependent values of form factors involved.

Non-factorizable Contributions to B → ππ Decays

We investigate to what extent the experimental information on B → ππ branching fractions and CP asymmetries can be used to better understand the QCD dynamics in these decays. For this purpose we decompose the independent isospin amplitudes into factorizable and non-factorizable contributions. The former can be estimated within the framework of QCD factorization for exclusive B decays. The latte...

First of all, ¯ B → Dπ and D * π decays are studied phenomenologically and possible lower bounds of the branching ratios, B(¯ B 0 → D 0 π 0) and B(¯ B 0 → D * 0 π 0), are estimated from existing experimental data on branching ratios for the ¯ B → Dπ and D * π decays. Non-factorizable contributions in hadronic weak decays of charm mesons

Two body decays of charm mesons are studied by describing their amplitude in terms of a sum of factorizable and non-factorizable ones. The former is estimated by using a naive factorization while the latter is calculated by using a hard pseudo-scalar-meson approximation. The hard pseudo-scalar-meson amplitude is given by a sum of the so-called equal-time commutator term and surface term which c...

Factorization in Color - Suppressed B Meson Decays ∗

We summerize the status of factorization hypothesis in the color-suppressed B meson decays : B → J/ψK (*). We present the general formalism for decay rates and polarization fractions with considering all possible non-factorizable contributions which also include the color-octet contributions, and a new factorization scheme comes appear when the universality is exist : χ F 1 = χ A1 = χ A2 = χ V ...
